Translator (English/Arabic)

To review and produce relatively straightforward written translations of submitted texts and documents in the language(s) of expertise to facilitate communication between the Company and other organizations or individuals

Policies, Processes and Procedures

             Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner

Day- to-day operations

             Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for Business Support Section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures

Translation

             Translates relatively straightforward texts and documents clearly and accurately, where necessary seeking clarification from the originator of  the document  to ensure the translated text reflects the required meaning

Editing and Proof reading

             Edits and proof reads translations done by other members within the Company to ensure the quality of translation conforms to Company standards. Is responsible for the quality of translated text, and accurately proof-read text (whether translated by self or others) to ensure accuracy.

Correspondences

             Assists in drafting Arabic and English correspondences required, improves quality of drafts as per standard and/or agreed pattern

Reporting

             Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports for section in order to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards

Safety, Health & Environment

             Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

Related Assignments

             Performs other related duties or assignments as directed

Bachelor degree in English Translation or English Lanuage (must be bilingual Arabic – English)
