Mechanical Engineer (6-9 Yrs)

To participate in designing and troubleshooting general mechanical equipment, piping, etc. to address issues and resolve operating problems of static mechanical equipment. Prepares bid package, cost and manpower estimates for a) Modifications b) Buildings and new facilities c) Changes to specifications of existing facilities or material specifications

• Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
• Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
• Handles Engineering requests (ER) from proponent departments for Static Mechanical Equipment e.g. piping, vessels, tanks and pumps, vessel operations and associated fittings.
• Evaluates and troubleshoots static equipment operating problems in order to resolve them
• Specifies the correct equipment (metallurgy) for the service conditions
• Determines the correct alignment values for rotating equipment and be able to conduct alignment checks in the field and consult the specialist when required
• Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports for section in order to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards
• Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
• Performs other related duties or assignments as directed
